It often amazes me as we run around "getting ready" for Christmas if we are focusing our attention on the right details. I recently read a great post that suggested that instead of "getting ready for Christmas - we should devote our time in preparing for Jesus. After all his birth is the reason for the season.
Today, I learn more that the gifts that Jesus really wants us to give are not the kind we will find at our local mall or on Ebay. No these gifts are even more precious because they come from the heart. When we take the time to give someone our time, love and attention - that is a gift. When we hug a lonely widow or spend time at a shelter we bless Jesus.
So take a moment to think about what gift you plan on giving Jesus.
